Ian attended the College of William & Mary where he studied film and psychology.  Upon graduation, he immediately began working in the video production business.  He started with a local news station in Charlottesville before joining a small video production company, eventually becoming manager.  His work experience has included video production of various projects including sporting events, corporate videos, weddings, parties, plays, legal depositions, short films, university lectures, historical documentaries, and more.  He has also produced over 100 professional wedding videos for couples from all over the world.
 

Ian also works with a local independent film company, Cavalier Films.  He has helped to develop screenplays, edited documentary footage, and has produced marketing material for their feature films.  Ian received screen credit for “Familiar Strangers,” Cavalier Films’ most recent theatrical release and has personally won awards for his short film creations for which he wrote, directed, edited, and produced.
 

Ian has been creating artwork his entire life.  If film is his hobby, artwork is his passion.  He has professional training with watercolor and pastel mediums.  His current interest is mural artwork and caricature portraits.  He has created full color murals for homes and businesses and continues to draw caricature portraits on a commission basis and also at events including private parties, county fairs, and corporate events.   Additionally, Ian creates logos and custom designs for businesses.  Over the span of his career, Ian has created designs/logos for various radio stations, a local tax company, an international travel company, and two local churches.
